As per the Day 270 Report of COVID-19 till 8 AM of 19/12/2020, there are 308751 active cases, 9550712COVID-19 patients have been discharged and 144789 persons lost their lives in India till 8 AM of 19/12/2020.

As per the Ministry of Health and Family welfare till 8 AM of 19/12/2020, there are 308751 active cases, 9550712COVID-19 patients have been discharged and 144789 persons lost their lives in India till 8 AM of 19/12/2020

On the testing of the capacity of India, the ICMR in its daily report on 19/12/2020 that a total of 16,00,90,514 have been conducted in India till 9 AM of 18/12/2020. Further, the ICMR reported that 11,71,868 new samples were taken during the last 24 hours.

The  Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare stated that Paddy procurement for Kharif 2020-21 has progressed smoothly in the procuring States & UTs of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu, Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir, Kerala, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar and Jharkhand with purchase of over 411.05LMTs of paddy up to 18.12.2020 against the last year corresponding purchase of 333.59LMT showing an increase of 23.22 % over last year. Out of the total purchase of 411.05LMT, Punjab alone has purchased202.77 LMT till the close of procurement season in the state on 30.11.2020 which is 49.33% of total procurement in the country.
