As per the Day 403 COVID-19 Report of India there are 3268710 active cases 15684406 COVID-19 patients have been discharged and 211853 persons lost their lives in India till 30/05/2021.

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare released data, a total of 15,66,37,825 vaccine doses have been given till today.

On the testing of the capacity of India, the ICMR in its daily report on 01/05/2021 that a total of 28,83,37,385 have been conducted in India till 9 AM of 30/04/2021. Further, the ICMR reported that 19,45,299 new samples were taken during the last 24 hours.

  • The Ministry of Finance stated that the gross GST revenue collected in the month of April’ 2021 is at a record high of Rs. 1,41,384 crore of which CGST is Rs. 27,837 crore, SGST is Rs. 35,621, IGST is Rs 68,481 crore (including Rs. 29,599 crore collected on import of goods) and Cess is Rs. 9,445 crore (including Rs. 981 crore collected on import of goods). Despite the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic affecting several parts of the country, Indian businesses have once again shown remarkable resilience by not only complying with the return filing requirements but also paying their GST dues in a timely manner during the month.
  • The Ministry of Finance extended the timelines of certain tax compliances in light of the severe pandemic

  • The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change claimed that Considering the COVID-19 pandemic situation and to further augment availability of oxygen for medical purposes in the country, the Central Government had asked Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), which has comprehensive database of industrial units, to identify the industries having spare nitrogen plants and explore the feasibility of converting of existing Nitrogen plants to produce oxygen.CPCB with the help of State Pollution Control Boards (SPCBs) have identified such potential industries, wherein existing Nitrogen generation plants may be spared for production of oxygen. Consultation have been held with potential industrial units and experts
  • The Election Commission directed that all counting halls must be fully COVID guidelines compliant.
