As per the Day 404 COVID-19 Report of India there are 3349644 active cases 15992271 COVID-19 patients have been discharged and 215542 persons lost their lives in India till 02/05/2021.

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare released data, a total of 15,68,16,031 vaccine doses have been given till today.

On the testing of the capacity of India, the ICMR in its daily report on 02/05/2021 that a total of 29,01,42,339 have been conducted in India till 9 AM of 01/05/2021. Further, the ICMR reported that 18,04,954 new samples were taken during the last 24 hours.

• The Ministry of Science & Technology clarified on the SUTRA model for charting the trajectory of COVID-19 that it would like to clearly point out some facts related to predictions of our mathematical model, especially since some of these have been misunderstood and misquoted. Recent reports in some media seem to suggest that scientists working on the SUTRA model cautioned in March about the second wave but attention was not paid to it. This is incorrect.

• The Ministry of Commerce & Industry informed that India’s merchandise exports in April 2021 was USD 30.21 billion, an increase of 197.03% over USD 10.17 billion in April 2020 and an increase of 16.03% over USD 26.04 billion in April 2019.
• The Ministry of Railways claimed that continuing its journey of bringing relief to people by delivering Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) to various states across the country, Indian Railways has now delivered 1094 MT of LMO in 74 tankers to various states across the country. 19 Oxygen Expresses have already completed their journey and 2 more loaded Oxygen Express are on the run carrying 61.46 MT (approx.) of LMO in 4 tankers.
• The Ministry of Railways claimed that Strengthening the capabilities of the nation in the united fight against Covid, the Ministry of Railways has, amongst its multi-pronged initiatives, deployed nearly 4000 Isolation Coaches with almost 64000 beds.
