New Delhi (ABC Live India): The Day 406 COVID-19 Report of India: Today was the 406 day of India’s Fight against Coronavirus: ABC Research Report.

As per the Day 406 COVID-19 Report of India there are 3447133 active cases 16613292 COVID-19 patients have been discharged and 222408 persons lost their lives in India till 04/05/2021.

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare released data, a total of 15,89,32,921 vaccine doses have been given till today.

On the testing of the capacity of India, the ICMR in its daily report on 04/05/2021 that a total of 29,33,10,779 have been conducted in India till 9 AM of 03/05/2021. Further, the ICMR reported that 16,63,742 new samples were taken during the last 24 hours.

  • The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers claimed that the production of remdesivir is being increased at a rapid pace in the country.  In just a few days, India has achieved 3 times the production capacity of Remedesvir and will soon be able to meet the growing demand.
  • The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change stated that On the 24th April 2021 with an abundance of caution , Nehru  Zoological  Park  (NZP),  Hyderabad shared samples (as collected from nose, throat and respiratory tract under anaesthesia) with  CCMB-LaCONES for eight  Asiatic  lions  housed  in  the Zoo that had showed signs of respiratory distress.  Based on detailed diagnostic tests and report as shared by CCMB-LaCONES on 4th May 2021, it has now been confirmed that eight Asiatic lions housed in Nehru Zoological Park (NZP), Hyderabad have tested positive for SARS-CoV2 virus.
