Delhi (ABC Live India): The 47th G7 summit 2021 was held on 11–13 June 2021 in
Cornwall in the United Kingdom while it holds the presidency of the G7.
The
participants included the leaders of the seven G7 member states as well as
representatives of the European Union.
The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris
Johnson, as president of the G7 group, invited leaders
from India, South Korea, South Africa and Australia for joining the summit
and leaders attended the summit online/physically.
Apart from the above-mentioned leaders International
Monetary Fund, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, World
Bank Group, World Health Organisation and World Trade Organisation also joined
the G7 summit virtually.
It has been suggested that Boris Johnson is
attempting to expand the G7 group, a meeting forum for the world's leading
economies, to create the D10, a forum for the world's ten leading democracies.

of Seven expressed their determination to beat COVID-19 and prepare for the
future, Reinvigorate economies, secure future prosperity, protect our planet, strengthen
partnerships and Embrace our values.
Apart
from above released official documents, the 47th G7 summit released
a G7 Research Compact, in which G7 considered thoughts and actions on shared values and actions for achieving open societies with democratic values have been discussed.
