As per the Day 379 COVID-19 Report of India there are 843473 active cases 11792135 COVID-19 patients have been discharged and 166177 persons lost their lives in India till 07/04/2021.

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare released data, a total of 8,83,72,277 vaccine doses have been given till today.

On the testing of the capacity of India, the ICMR in its daily report on 07/04/2021 that a total of

25,14,39,598 have been conducted in India till 9 AM of 06/04/2021. Further, the ICMR reported that 12,08,329 new samples were taken during the last 24 hours.

  • The PIB in released press note informed that the Union Cabinet, chaired by the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, approved the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for White Goods (Air Conditioners and LED Lights) with a budgetary outlay of Rs. 6,238 crore.
  • The PIB in released press note informed that the Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has approved the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy's proposal for implementation of the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme 'National Programme on High Efficiency Solar PV (Photo Voltic) Modules' for achieving manufacturing capacity of Giga Watt (GW) scale in high efficiency solar PV modules with an outlay of Rs.4,500 crore.
  • The Ministry of Railways claimed that Indian Railways has achieved highest ever scrap sale in Financial Year 2020-21. Through this sale, Indian Railways earned total Rs 4573 Cr. during 2020-21 compare to Rs 4333 Cr. during 2019-20 which is 5.5% higher. This is the previous best was Rs 4409 Cr. in 2009-10. Indian Railways makes all out efforts to optimally utilise resources by mobilising scrap materials and sale through e-auction.
  • The Ministry of Corporate Affairs stated that the President promulgated the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Amendment) Ordinance, 2021 on 4th April 2021. The Cabinet had approved on 31st March 2021 the proposal to make amendments in the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 (Code), through the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Amendment) Ordinance, 2021.
