Demands Raised by Agitating Farmers:

Financial Security:

Guaranteed Income: Farmers above 60 years old are demanding a monthly pension of ₹10,000.

Minimum Wages under MGNREGA: Protesters seek fixed daily wages for agricultural work under MGNREGA, proposing ₹700 per day with a guarantee of 200 days of work annually.

Agro-Industry Integration: Farmers aim for better integration with the agro-industry to bypass intermediaries and secure direct market access through the establishment of farmer-producer organizations.

Market Support:

Legal Guarantee of MSP for All Crops: The primary demand is a legal framework guaranteeing MSP for all agricultural produce to provide stable and predictable income.

Implementation of Swaminathan Committee Recommendations: The implementation of recommendations aimed at improving farmers' income and welfare.

Other Demands: Withdrawal of cases registered during the last agitation, justice for Lakhimpur Kheri violence, ensuring at least 50 percent profit over the overall cost of production, and fulfilling the promise to double farmers' incomes.
