As per the Day 398 COVID-19 Report of India there are 2813658 active cases 14304382 COVID-19 patients have been discharged and 195123 persons lost their lives in India till 26/04/2021.

New Delhi (ABC Live India): The Day 398 COVID-19 Report of India: Today was the 398 day of India’s Fight against Coronavirus: ABC Research Report.

As per the Day 398 COVID-19 Report of India there are 2813658  active cases 14304382 COVID-19 patients have been discharged and 195123 persons lost their lives in India till 26/04/2021.

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare released data, a total of 14,50,85,911 vaccine doses have been given till today.

On the testing of the capacity of India, the ICMR in its daily report on 26/04/2021 that a total of 27,93,21,177 have been conducted in India till 9 AM of 25/04/2021. Further, the ICMR reported that 14,02,367 new samples were taken during the last 24 hours.

  • The Prime Minister's Office stated Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a telephone conversation today with His Excellency Joseph R. Biden, President of the United States of America. The two leaders discussed the COVID-19 situation in their respective countries, including India’s ongoing efforts to contain the second wave of COVID-19 through expedited vaccination efforts, and ensuring supply of critical medicines, therapeutics and healthcare equipment. 
  • The Prime Minister's Office stated that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had a phone call today with His Excellency Suga Yoshihide, Prime Minister of Japan.The two leaders discussed the COVID-19 situation in the respective country and exchanged views on various regional and global challenges posed by the pandemic.
  • The Prime Minister's Office stated that Prime Minister reviewed preparations by Armed Forces to assist in Covid management
  • The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare released COVID-19 Updates

  • The Ministry of Railways claimed that Nearly 64000 Covid Care Beds Provisioned in around 4000 Covid Care Coaches across the Country
  • The Ministry of Railways claimed that Since the first train of empty tankers left for Vizag from Mumbai Region just a few days back, Indian Railways has transported more than 302 MT of Oxygen safely & securely to various states across India. 154 MT liquid medical oxygen is on its way. Railways have picked up the challenge of movement of the life-saving Oxygen to the states wanting oxygen.
  • The Ministry of Railways stated that the First Oxygen Express arrived in Mumbai
  • The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution claimed that About Rs. 8,180 Crores already transferred directly into Punjab farmers’ account
  • The Ministry of Steel stated that Steel Plants in Public & Private Sector  supplied 3131.84 Metric Tonnes of Liquid Medical oxygen (LMO) to various states on the 25th April 2021,ascompared to 2894 tonnes dispatched on the previous day.A week earlier, on an average 1500/1700 Metric tonnes /Day was being dispatched. The production on 25th April was 3468.6 MT.
  • The NITI Aayog claimed that in a bid to address the challenges arising due to COVID-19 pandemic, Empowered Group-3 chaired by NITI Aayog CEO Shri Amitabh Kant reached out to more than 1 lakh Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) today to deliberate on coordinated strategies to navigate through the impact of recent surge in COVID cases.

  • The Aurangabad Bench of Bombay High Court ordered on Monday that in view of the restrictions in place due to COVID-19, people who step out of their houses either on foot or on vehicles, except during the relaxation hours from 7 am to 11 am from Monday to Friday, should carry Aadhaar card.
